Community CARES program

About Community CARES

We are no longer taking NEW Cares program applications due to funding expended.

Pasco County Community Development is partnering with multiple local agencies that are assisting in providing Community CARES funds to people experiencing economic hardship due to COVID-19.  The West Pasco Business Association is a partner agency and is offering to help pay bills directly for anyone living in Pasco County who meets the Community CARES Program guidelines.

Bills eligible for payment include:

  • Rental (not including Move-In assistance)
  • Mortgage
  • Utility (electric/water)

To qualify for Pasco Community CARES funding, you must be a U.S. citizen (or have legal status) and Pasco County resident, who meets the income guidelines of 80 percent or below of the Area Median Income and has been economically impacted by COVID-19.  The agency will reach out to you explaining the paperwork required to document your income and residency.  This one-time payment is limited to $3,500 per household, which will be paid directly to vendors on your behalf.  Please note, you can only receive Community CARES assistance from Pasco County one time, regardless of how you apply.
